Here you see our complete staff in their "casual" clothes taken during September 2009. Normally when on duty the girls (and boys) wear a smart black outfit with our logo discreetly displayed. Anyway, seated at the front from the left is Gillian, then Anne and Bobby. Standing are Janet, Tracy, Lisa and Sally. Iain is next and then Victoria. At the very back, behind the bar is Ian (who is, by the way, 'Mine Host'). To see a larger version you can click on the picture above. We have displayed some of our recent awards on the sloping portion of the ceiling in the centre of the picture and if you look at the very top left (above the drinks cabinet) you can see the station where the "beer train" normally sits when it is not away on a journey. This train is Ian's personal toy (Ian being the owner) and it makes a regular journey along the length of the bar and back again. It has even been said that this is the only train in Scotland that is never late. By the way there are a number of different engines in the shed, including a big red General Electric diesel which can sometimes be seen on the line. To see more about the engines and rolling stock please see our picture gallery. The pic below shows the "beer train" travelling over the sign that we proudly display indicating our achievements over the past few years. Hopefully the sign will be updated soon to include the results of the SLTN awards 2009.
Last year we proudly added the following to the sign: For more information about Ian's train set (and how you can get one of your own) see the Scottish Garden Railways website or click on the picture below. The website opens in a new window.
